Where can I find new business for my Sandwell company?
This page contains links to places where you can find procurement and tendering opportunities in Sandwell, the West Midlands and beyond.
When a local business wins new work, the benefits are further reaching than the immediate cash boost to that company. In the long term it may mean business growth, the creation and preservation of jobs, and the retention and recycling of money in our local economy. So we’re here to help you! We encourage clients and contractors to procure responsibly, and be open and transparent about what they require from your company. If you need support, contact our Business Growth Team today.
Apply for Sandwell Council opportunities via In-tend
In-tend is an electronic tendering system which allows buyers and suppliers to securely manage their interactions during the tendering process. Sandwell Council uses this as its tendering system, publishing the products and services it needs to buy. It’s well worth registering to see the latest Sandwell Council opportunities that appear through the system.
National tendering portals
CompeteFor was used successfully by the London 2012 Games authorities and their supply chains for advertising and placing contracts stemming from the Olympics. The service continues to be used in the tendering process for major capital infrastructure projects, such as Crossrail. Register to give your business the chance to compete for contracts in both the public and private sectors.
The UK government’s Contracts Finder lets you search for information about contracts worth over £10,000 with the UK government and its agencies. Work stemming from HS2, for example, will appear through here. You can look for business opportunities in different sectors, see what’s coming up in the future, and bring up details of previous tenders and contracts. You can search the system without registering but to get email alerts about relevant contracts it’s worth signing up for an account.
See also Find a Tender, for details of high-value UK government contracts (typically over £122,976).
Enterprise Europe Network
Enterprise Europe Network is a European Union strategy to boost growth and jobs in EU countries, bringing together around 600 business support organisations from more than 60 countries. Its network helps SMEs make the most of business opportunities in the EU and beyond. Take a look to find international business partners interested in buying from (or supplying to) you. UK is now listed as a non-EU country.
MultiQuote is an e-procurement and e-sourcing platform used widely in the UK public sector. Whatever your industry you may sign up free of charge, allowing you to partake in various tendering opportunities within NHS trusts – anything from mini competitions to complex tendering processes. Simply register and select which categories are the best fits for your business.
