The hunt is on for the region’s eco pioneers following the launch of the ‘West Midlands Green Leaders’ competition.
The competition, which is in its second year, aims to promote some of the West Midlands’ leading policy makers, green entrepreneurs and environmental ambassadors.
Successful winners will then be able to use this platform to share and pass on knowledge and help develop solutions around government initiatives like LEPs, said competition organiser Sustainability West Midlands.
Sustainability West Midlands’ Dr Simon Slater said: “Three hundred years ago men and women from the region started the industrial revolution; now is the time to highlight the people that are going to be responsible for driving the green revolution.
“Green Leaders is open to individuals from different sectors and stages of their careers with an emphasis on being able to demonstrate ‘green’ impact with additional social or economic benefit above their everyday role.”
Sustainability West Midlands is now seeking entries for the competition with the closing date of 12 September.
