WEST Bromwich construction company Anglo Holt has completed a £2.3mTravelodge hotel in Hampshire.
Travelodge Eastleigh is a 60-bedroom hotel, with ground floor retail space, built on a reclaimed brownfield site.
The scheme, which includes pre-finished bathroom pods and a ‘green roof’, is located next to Eastleigh train station and bus terminal, some ten miles from Southampton.
The 33-week design and build project was awarded to Anglo Holt by clients Caudwell Properties and Eastleigh Borough Council.
It extends the company’s successful 12-year partnership with Travelodge, which has seen it complete 54 hotels. There are a further eight contracts currently in progress, worth a total of more than £200.5m.
Andy Elwell, managing director at Anglo Holt, said: “Once again we have demonstrated our expertise in the hotel and leisure sector by completing another fine Travelodge hotel on time and on budget on behalf of our clients Caudwell Properties and Eastleigh Borough Council.”
Anglo Holt has an annual turnover in excess of £50m and employs around 100 people.
