Oldbury-based freight services business City Logistics has completed on the purchase of a West Bromwich office building. The transport company has paid an undisclosed six figure sum for 6 St Michaels Court, a modern purpose-built office building.
City Logistics Ltd is a medium-sized road haulage firm offering transport services in the UK. Founded in 1996, the company already has three transport operating centres in the West Midlands – Smethwick, Wednesbury and Willenhall.
The new Oldbury office is situated within easy walking distance of the Tesco New Square development and all local amenities, including the Metro services to Birmingham and Wolverhampton City Centre.
City Logistics plans to use the property as either a local office for its operations or let it if there is demand from a suitable tenant.
Despite the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 situation investors are still looking to acquire properties across all sectors, according to Bond Wolfe, the property specialist that handled the deal on behalf of City Logistics.
