Two worlds come together at a creative and business event

Creative Black Country logoAs part of the Black Country Business Festival, Creative Black Country (CBC) is hosting an online event on Wednesday 13 October to bring together two local sectors to the benefit of both.

Two Worlds is a meeting of the creative and business sectors in the region to improve communication and opportunities for local businesses.

The aim of the event is to understand and explore how better communication and partnerships could offer mutual benefits. The online session will facilitate opportunities to interact, build networks and partnerships.

It will showcase what the Black Country has to offer in terms of the creative landscape and strengthen existing partnerships while forging new connections and future potential partnerships.

Creative Black Country is an action learning project funded by Arts Council England through the Creative People and Places (CPP) programme to engage audiences in areas where evidence shows people are less likely to take part in publicly funded arts and culture.

CBC’s mission is to make the most of the Black Country through arts, culture and creativity. It works with communities in Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton to explore and develop new creative projects with local people.

The Two Worlds digital event is taking place on Wednesday 13 October at 10.30-11.30am.

Its target audience is business owners or employees within the creative and business sectors who want to find out more about the benefits of cross-sector partnerships and developing relationships.

There will be a short presentation from speakers from the creative and business sectors, followed by some exercises to discover what each sector needs. Finally, general discussions will be held to build a Black Country plan to improve communication and promote opportunities to develop cross-sector partnerships.

Speakers include Yvonne Gregory, Chair of CBC and Kevin Rogers from Paycare, with others yet to be confirmed.
